Antonio Ferrara, the robber, who was nicknamed "king of beauty" because he escaped twice from prison, was released this Friday morning, according to his lawyer. This confirms information from Europe 1 and the JDD.

Antonio Ferrara, 48, was convicted and later acquitted of several robberies. Nineteen years later, he was released from prison after his dramatic escape from Fresnes in the spring 2003 during a commando operation. His four-month run was over.

His lawyer Amar Bouaou said, "It's a relief for him" after a long time in detention. The lawyer added that "he was able to leave a bit before the end his sentence because of a confusion in sentences" and "changes of course" during detention where he displayed "exemplary behavior".

He stated, "He now aspires a normal life together with his partner, his two children" in France. He also said that Antonio Ferrara was ready to join him.

Antonio Ferrara was born October 12, 1973 in southern Italy. He lived with his family in Choisy-le-Roi, Val-de-Marne. However, he was acquitted of three robbery charges: an armored van in 2009 and a postal office in 2012.

He had escaped from Fleury-Merogis prison (Essonne) for the first time in 1998.

He escaped Fresnes prison (Val-de-Marne), with accomplices disguised in police officers, and attacked the institution with rocket launchers. It will resume four months later.
