Greifswald (dpa / mv) - A driving error when entering the Autobahn 20 near Greifswald led to an accident with three vehicles and two injured on Monday. As a police spokeswoman said, the A20 between the Greifswald and Süderholz exits was blocked for around an hour and a half in the direction of Rostock.
According to initial investigations, a 32-year-old driver from the Vorpommern-Rügen district had overlooked the fact that another car was approaching from behind in the fast lane when driving towards Rostock. The driver still braked, but still drove his car into the woman's car. Her vehicle was thrown to the right against a truck.
Both drivers were injured in a hospital, their cars were no longer drivable. The total damage was estimated at around 40,000 euros.
