Malchin (dpa/mv) - After a fatal accident on Christmas Day in Malchin, a 21-year-old reported to the police on Monday evening as a possible accident driver. According to initial findings, there are traces and damage on the Neubrandenburg woman's car that match the accident, as the police announced on Tuesday. During an interrogation, the woman said that although she heard a bang, she did not associate it with an accident. It was only media reports that drew her attention to the accident, so she now wants to help clarify the matter.
The day before, a 23-year-old had been hit and fatally injured. The young woman was reportedly on foot. Police investigations continue.
