Grevesmühlen (dpa / mv) - Adolescents played a game that was dangerous in the literal sense of the word on the railway line between Lübeck and Bad Kleinen. As the police announced on Monday, the still unknown children had placed a complete car wheel on the track bed in Grevesmühlen on Friday afternoon. The train driver of the regional train RE 91970 recognized the obstacle too late, so that a collision could no longer be avoided. However, no damage was done to the railcar, the train continued its journey, it said.
According to the police, the children did not leave it at that. The dispatcher in Grevesmühlen, who became aware of the incident, observed two dark-clad children or young people approaching the tracks a little later. There they again placed a car tire, a beer bottle and a hand fire extinguisher, which apparently came from a wild garbage dump nearby. A patrol by the federal police removed the obstacles, but did not catch the polluters. They are wanted. An investigation into dangerous interventions in rail traffic has been initiated.
