Rechlin (dpa / mv) - Because of a still puzzling threat in Rechlin (Mecklenburg Lake District), the criminal police and state security have started investigations. As a police spokesman said on Sunday, unknown persons have installed a gallows and several straw dolls in the laundry room of an apartment building in such a way that the whole thing is interpreted as a death threat. A clothed doll without a head was laid next to the gallows early on Sunday morning and a second straw figure with a head was installed next to it in such a way that an ax lay on its neck.
Several signs were painted on the figures, which the state security is now examining. Four torches were set up around the installation not far from the town center and were burning. It has not yet been clarified against whom the whole thing is directed.
