Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Moped thief without a license flies up due to a right-of-way error

Rostock (dpa / mv) - An accident after a right of way error and two resolute witnesses have exposed a moped thief in Rostock. As a police spokesman said on Friday, the 15-year-old moped driver collided with a car at an intersection in Alt Sievershagen near Rostock on Thursday evening. The 15-year-old had ignored the driver's right of way. When the youth tried to flee, the 32-year-old driver and a passer-by held the youth until the police arrived.

The officials then found that the 15-year-old did not have a driver's license and that the small motorcycle had been stolen several days ago in the north-west of Rostock in the Groß Klein district. The youth from Rostock, who is now being investigated, had to be picked up by his legal guardians.
