Neustrelitz (dpa / mv) - A motorcyclist died in a traffic accident in the Mecklenburg Lake District. According to the police, the man fell on the B96 between the Klein Trebbow and Alt Strelitz exits after a curve and slipped onto the oncoming lane. There the machine collided with an oncoming car on Sunday and caught fire. The motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The 57-year-old driver was so badly injured that he was flown to the hospital by rescue helicopter. According to the police, there was no danger to life.
The motorcyclist who died in the accident could not be identified at first. The police estimated the damage at 12,000 euros. The B96 was completely blocked for three hours.
