Rostock (dpa / mv) - The Rostock Zoo was not opened on Monday due to black ice warnings. "Due to the weather conditions (announcement of lightning ice), the zoo will remain closed today as a precaution," said Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's largest zoo on Facebook.
Throughout Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, starting in the west, an "extensive black ice situation" was expected at the beginning of the week. Rain falling on frozen ground has been gradually forecast from the west for much of the state. Western federal states were already affected in the morning rush hour.
