Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: State prevention award for projects in MV sport

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - For the fourth time this year, the State Council for Crime Prevention is recognizing special achievements by sports clubs in preventing violence and for peaceful coexistence. As Interior Minister Christian level (SPD) announced on Tuesday in Schwerin, the prize, which is worth a total of 6000 euros, will be awarded as part of the 12th state prevention day, which will take place on June 22nd, 2023 in Rostock's Ostseestadion.

Level called on athletes, parents, trainers and local politicians to submit proposals. The application period ends on April 14th. In demand are club projects that are worth imitating and that go beyond sport and contribute in a special way to preventing violence and crime, saidleve. Doing sports in a club makes a significant contribution to teaching tolerance, fair dealings with one another and compliance with rules.
