Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Thieves steal attachments worth more than 30,000 euros

Groß Lukow (dpa/mv) - Thieves caused damage of more than 30,000 euros to an agricultural company in Groß Lukow near Penzlin (Mecklenburg Lake District). As a police spokesman said on Wednesday, the perpetrators probably broke through the fence on Monday night and stole various attachments for tractors, including a GPS receiver. The stolen goods, some of which were very heavy, were brought several kilometers away to a forest near Penzlin with a tractor that was also stolen, where they were stored for transport.

When the police were alerted, only one of the nine stolen attachments was discovered in the hiding place on a bike path. The police are hoping for clues, among other things, to a suitable vehicle to remove the loot.
