Rostock (dpa/mv) - The Regional Directorate North of the Federal Employment Agency and the state government are providing information today about the current development on the training market in the north-east. The head of the regional directorate, Markus Biercher, and Labor Minister Reinhard Meyer (SPD) present the numbers of contracts concluded so far and name sectors in which training places are still vacant. For many professions, the training years begin on August 1st or September 1st.

Experience has shown that the number of apprenticeship places in the north-east exceeds the number of applicants. The three chambers of industry and commerce in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania registered 3,231 new training contracts at the official start of the training year on August 1st. At the same time last year there were 3183. At the end of 2021, the chambers of industry and commerce in the country had registered 4497 ​​new training contracts. This year it is hoped for more than 4500.
