Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Triple murder process: application for bias rejected

Rostock (dpa/mv) - In the trial of a brutal murder of three people in Rövershagen, the Rostock Regional Court rejected a bias application by the defense against the hearing criminal chamber as unfounded. The rights of the defense were not impaired, according to the decision read by judge Peter Goebels on Thursday, the third day of the hearing.

In the dock is a 27-year-old man who is said to have killed his father, sister and mother with a crossbow and machete in February this year. He is charged with three counts of murder. The German's attorney had accused the chamber of having already made up its mind in its judgment.

The 27-year-old had confessed to the crimes during police interrogations, but revoked his confession in court. On Thursday, a forensic expert was first heard, who presented identity reports and DNA analyzes of the victims. Several witnesses were to be heard during the day. The trial is scheduled until December 15th. (AZ 13 Ks 93/22 (2))
