Borgholzhausen (dpa / lnw) - A 12-year-old boy fell under the tires of a tractor and died on an adventure farm in the Gütersloh district. The police said on Thursday that he had been treated by the emergency doctor, but died on the spot from his serious injuries. Several media had previously reported about it.
At the wheel of the tractor with a trailer was a 46-year-old employee of the adventure farm in the municipality of Borgholzhausen. According to a police spokeswoman, the 12-year-old comes from the area and was visiting the farm.
It was initially unclear how the accident happened on Thursday morning. The police spokeswoman said the incident was initially recorded as a traffic accident. It is now being determined who caused the accident and whether it could have been prevented. Relatives and witnesses were cared for by emergency chaplains.
