North Rhine-Westphalia: 18-year-old hit by a car and critically injured

Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - An 18-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car in Dortmund on Friday and was critically injured. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, the young woman stepped out onto the street between parked cars and a bush and was then hit head-on by a 26-year-old driver, the police said on Sunday. According to observations, the 18-year-old was thrown through the air and landed on the street with serious injuries. She was taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
