Cologne (dpa / lnw) - An 18-year-old was trapped early on Saturday morning at the subway station Friesenplatz in Cologne between a subway and the edge of the platform and was seriously injured. The fire brigade freed the man and took him to a special clinic, she said. The man was obviously drunk and ran alongside the incoming subway, said a police spokesman. He fell into the gap between the train and the platform. His injuries are not life-threatening. There are no indications of third-party debt.
The fire department received the alert at 4:44 a.m. Two other passengers who witnessed the accident also had to be taken to hospitals for shock.
