Balve (dpa / lnw) - A 70-year-old is said to have killed his wife in need of care in Balve, Sauerland. A judge sent him into custody on suspicion of manslaughter, the public prosecutor said on Monday in Arnsberg.
Employees of an outpatient nursing service discovered the 70-year-old lifeless in her bed on Tuesday last week. Her husband, who lives with her in the apartment, then said that he had found his wife lifeless as soon as he got up.
The emergency doctor alerted by the nursing service discovered further abnormalities and turned on the police. In the meantime, the autopsy has confirmed the suspicion that the woman was killed, said a spokesman for the public prosecutor's office. The 70-year-old was arrested last Wednesday.
