North Rhine-Westphalia: After "Reichsbürger" raid: policewoman from NRW suspended

Minden (dpa / lnw) - After the major raid on the "Reichsbürger" scene, an accused police officer from North Rhine-Westphalia was suspended. The German press agency learned this from investigators. Accordingly, on Wednesday, in addition to the apartment, the workplace of the police officer employed by the Kripo in the Minden-Lübbecke district was also searched. But she was not arrested. So far, the woman is the only suspect in the major proceedings in NRW.

The responsible state office for training, further education and personnel matters (LAFP) announced that the disciplinary proceedings against the woman would be conducted by the Minden-Lübbecke police. It is routinely suspended while criminal investigations are ongoing. The Ministry of the Interior added that "due to the protection of personal rights and the employer's duty of care" no further information would be given.

On Wednesday, the federal prosecutor had 25 people arrested in one of the largest police operations in the history of the Federal Republic in eleven federal states as well as in Italy and Austria. She accuses 22 of them of being a member of a terrorist organization that wanted to overthrow the political system. The other three are about support. In NRW, apart from the policewoman, the police only searched the apartment of another woman in Krefeld, who is listed as a witness. According to dpa information, she is said to be the friend of an accused.
