Büren (dpa / lnw) - An 82-year-old man fell so badly from a tree in Büren near Paderborn during the apple harvest that he was flown to the hospital with the rescue helicopter. As the police announced on Tuesday, the senior climbed into an apple tree with a ladder on Monday afternoon. When he stood on a branch about three meters high, the branch broke and the man fell.
The 82-year-old hit his head on a curb and suffered serious injuries. An emergency doctor alerted by relatives called for a rescue helicopter, which brought the man to a clinic in Münster.
