North Rhine-Westphalia: Cell phone location leads the police to a fence apartment

Mettmann (dpa / lnw) - The location of a stolen mobile phone led the police to a fence apartment in Hagen. According to information from Friday, a policewoman from Hilden had her smartphone stolen at a Düsseldorf Christmas market. The tracking function of the cell phone led the officer to an apartment in an apartment building in Hagen the next day. The woman turned on her Hagen colleagues, who searched the apartment: in addition to the police officer's cell phone, they found around 70 other presumably stolen high-quality smartphones and other electronic devices as well as more than 10,000 euros in cash. An investigation has been launched against the 28-year-old tenant of the apartment.
