North Rhine-Westphalia: civil patrol stops cyclists on the highway

Brühl (dpa / lnw) - A civil patrol by the police discovered a cyclist on Autobahn 553 near Brühl in the middle of the night. The 18-year-old man, who is believed to be drugged, was sitting on a mountain bike and also steered a second bike with one hand, officials said about the incident on Thursday night. The 18-year-old explained to the police officers that he was on his way home to Bonn. Because he could not say anything about the origin of the two mountain bikes and there was evidence of drug use, the officers seized the bikes and took the man for a blood test.
