A week ago (December 2nd), the number of new corona infections reported within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants was 244.4. The NRW index was still higher than the national average. According to the RKI, this was 219.9 on Friday.
In NRW, 9050 confirmed new infections were added within 24 hours. 29 new deaths related to the coronavirus have been registered.
However, the information only provides a very incomplete picture of the number of infections. Experts have been assuming for some time that there will be a large number of cases not recorded by the RKI - mainly because not all infected people have a PCR test done. Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics. In addition, late registrations or transmission problems can lead to a distortion of individual daily values.
