North Rhine-Westphalia: cyclist dies after an accident with a turning truck

Hagen (dpa / lnw) - A cyclist was run over by a turning truck in Hagen and fatally injured. The 35-year-old truck driver turned right into a street on Tuesday and overlooked the 57-year-old man with his bicycle, the police said on Wednesday. The cyclist was taken to the hospital and died there a few hours later. Because of the truck driver's limited view, turning accidents occur again and again, in which cyclists are seriously injured or die.
