North Rhine-Westphalia: dog trapped in the stair lift: rescue by the fire brigade

Kreuzau (dpa / lnw) - With the unusual keywords "dog in the stair lift", the volunteer fire brigade in Kreuzau (Düren district) rushed to an animal rescue in a family home. On site, the emergency services found that a dog was stuck with the end of its tail in the gear drive of a stair lift, as the fire brigade announced on Friday. The nine-month-old bitch was looked after by the owner and fortunately behaved very calmly. Firefighters called a maintenance technician and dismantled the stairlift, a fire department spokesman said. After a good hour, the animal was released again during the operation on Thursday. A vet visit followed.
