North Rhine-Westphalia: Driver and child injured in an accident with a tram

Bonn (dpa / lnw) - A mother and her seven-year-old son were injured in a collision between a tram and a car in Bonn. The driver was locked in her car on Sunday and seriously injured, the fire department said. Her child was able to get out of the car on her own with minor injuries. Both were taken to a hospital. According to the fire department, the driver of the tram was in shock and was also taken to a hospital. Investigations into the cause are ongoing.
