North Rhine-Westphalia: fire in a home for the disabled: two people slightly injured

Wettringen (dpa/lnw) - Two people were slightly injured in a fire in a residential home for people with disabilities in Wettringen near the German-Dutch border. The 49-year-old woman and the 59-year-old man suffered from mild smoke inhalation, the police said on Monday. According to initial findings, the fire broke out in the basement of the house late on Sunday evening. The smoke spread across the first and second floor of the building. The remaining residents were unharmed and were housed in another building complex. The cause of fire was unclear for the moment.
