Recklinghausen (dpa / lnw) - On the Autobahn 43 near Recklinghausen, there was a rear-end collision involving five vehicles late Thursday evening. Police said five drivers were injured. According to a police spokesman, two of them were taken to the hospital.

In heavy rain, a 25-year-old driver in the direction of Münster drove into the car of a 31-year-old in front of him. Three following drivers - a 53-year-old, a 31-year-old and a 26-year-old - could no longer prevent a collision with the two cars. The A43 was closed for around three hours in the evening.
