Espelkamp (dpa/lnw) - The connection technology specialist Harting exceeded the billion mark in sales for the first time in the past financial year. Sales in the 21/22 financial year, which ended at the end of September, rose by 21.8 percent to almost 1.1 billion euros, the family company announced on Friday in Espelkamp, Westphalia. The group of companies did not provide any information on the profit. The result was adequate, said a spokesman. The company intends to maintain sales in the current financial year.
At the end of September, Harting employed a good 6,400 people worldwide, around 2,700 of them in Germany. Harting sees itself as the world's leading supplier of industrial connection technology. Among other things, plug connections for the machine control are produced. The company operates 14 production facilities.
