Münster is getting another highlight in the truest sense of the word: starting this Saturday, the "ladder to heaven" will shine high up at the Lamberti Church.

Münster (dpa / lnw) - As of today, Münster is richer by another attraction. In the evening between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. on the Prinzipalmarkt in the city center, the illuminated work of art "Himmelsleiter" on the tower of the Lamberti Church will be switched on, accompanied by a dance performance. The work by the artist Billi Thanner previously hung on St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. The ladder, which consists of two parts and is 48 meters long in total, will be illuminated in Münster until March 2023.

The lower part of the "ladder to heaven" hangs inside the church, is 12 meters long and has 21 rungs. At the top of the tower, the work of art is 36 meters long and has 33 luminous rungs.
