North Rhine-Westphalia: Import and export are increasing significantly

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - North Rhine-Westphalia's economy imported and exported significantly more in the past year. The state statistics office announced on Monday that the value of exports had increased by 15.5 percent to 233.7 billion euros compared to 2021. A large part of this was about metals. At the same time, the value of imports rose by 19.8 percent to 314.7 billion euros. Chemicals and machines, for example, were imported. The figures for imports and exports are both maximum figures. General inflation is likely to have played a role in the growth.
