Bottrop (dpa / lnw) - Nothing worked for the little owl: the fire brigade rescued a stray little owl from a chimney pipe in Bottrop. The homeowner had previously heard an unusual scratching noise and notified the emergency services, as a fire department spokesman said on Saturday.
On site, they found that the little owl was stuck in the chimney. The emergency services freed the animal, which was covered in soot. The owl was reportedly unharmed and was taken to a sanctuary to be cleaned by trained staff. The "WAZ" had previously reported on the rescue operation on Friday.
