Wermelskirchen (dpa / lnw) - A woman was seriously injured in Wermelskirchen when she tried to stop her car, which had rolled away after parking. The 43-year-old tried to open the door and was trapped between her car and another car, police said on Wednesday. She came to a hospital.
The car, parked on a sloping road, suddenly rolled forward down the slope on Tuesday morning after the woman got out. She was made aware of this, ran off immediately and tried to open the driver's door to pull the handbrake. Rescue workers should have freed her from her car, it said. There was damage of around 12,000 euros.
