Essen (dpa / lnw) - In North Rhine-Westphalia, a little rain is to be expected again at the start of the week. As reported by the German Weather Service (DWD), around 20 liters per square meter can fall within one hour on Monday in a very limited local area. Single stormy gusts are also possible. The country is therefore under a low-pressure influence that brings wetter air from the south-west. Especially in the afternoon and evening there should be isolated thunderstorms - probably in areas west of the Rhine - which will subside again together with the showers on Tuesday night.
According to the DWD, Tuesday will be largely free of precipitation. A few showers are only expected in the afternoon and afternoon. Stronger thunderstorms and heavier rain are expected on Wednesday.
