North Rhine-Westphalia: residents rescued from a burning house with a turntable ladder

Hattingen (dpa / lnw) - The fire brigade saved a resident in Hattingen with a turntable ladder from a burning house. The person was on one of the upper floors on Tuesday evening and could no longer leave the apartment building through the smoky stairwell, as the fire brigade announced on Wednesday. The emergency services were able to quickly bring the fire in an apartment under control. Six rescued people were taken to nearby hospitals as a precaution. No information has yet been given on the exact cause of the fire.
