Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - According to the Ministry of the Interior, around 2,500 people took to the streets in Saxony-Anhalt on Monday against high inflation, the Ukraine war and the federal government's energy policy. A ministry spokeswoman said on Tuesday that there were a total of 35 meetings across the country. This means that the number of participants in the rallies on Mondays has continued to decline. At the beginning of November, the police counted almost four times as many demonstrators.
The police have initiated a total of three investigations, once for using license plates of unconstitutional organizations and two criminal proceedings for insult, said the spokeswoman. Otherwise, the events remained largely trouble-free.
