Saxony-Anhalt: car burns out after an accident on the A2

Burg (dpa/sa) - A car burned out in an accident on Autobahn 2 near Burg. The 71-year-old passenger of a 68-year-old driver came to a hospital with minor injuries on Friday morning, the police said. The 68-year-old driver drove his car in the middle lane towards Hanover and wanted to overtake another vehicle. According to the police, he overlooked the car of a 35-year-old. There was a collision. A car caught fire. Because of the smoke during the extinguishing work, the two directional lanes were briefly closed.
