Saxony-Anhalt: Hundreds of motorcyclists from 23 nations in Dessau

Dessau-Roßlau (dpa/sa) - About 500 motorcyclists gathered on the market square in Dessau on Wednesday. The reason was a so-called rally of the world motorsport organization FIM on the Ferropolis, as a spokesman for the Federal Association of Motorcyclists said. The predominantly male participants from 23 nations will be heading to Bitterfeld on Thursday, where a short sightseeing tour will follow. At the end of the program, the motorcyclists will show up in Lutherstadt Wittenberg on Friday. The drivers leave with their machines on Saturday.
