Saxony-Anhalt: jewelry stolen from a helpful senior citizen

Sangerhausen (dpa/sa) - An unknown person stole the jewelry of an 89-year-old woman under the pretense of needing to be defecated. As the police announced on Saturday, the man had rung the woman's doorbell in Sangerhausen (Manfeld-Südharz district) on Friday evening. He asked to use the toilet. The woman let him into her apartment. She later discovered that jewelry had been stolen. The amount of material damage is still unknown.
