Halle (dpa/sa) - Within the first nine months of this year, the municipalities in Saxony-Anhalt collected 38 percent more trade tax than in the same period last year. By September 30, they had booked 829 million euros in trade tax and thus 229 million more than in 2021, the State Statistical Office announced on Thursday in Halle. The three independent cities of Halle, Magdeburg and Dessau-Roßlau have reportedly recorded the highest trade tax payments in ten years. In the case of the municipalities belonging to the district, this income in the first three quarters of 2022 was almost as high as in the entire previous year, together it was 615 million euros.
