Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - Saxony-Anhalt is again looking for particularly creative children and young people. The State Chancellery and the Ministry of Culture announced on Saturday in Magdeburg that the state's children's and youth culture prize was openly chosen under the motto "Horizons". All artistic forms of expression from painting, photography, literature, music, film and theater to multimedia art are in demand. Individuals, groups or classes can participate. The award is endowed with a total of 6,500 euros and is aimed at children and young people up to and including the age of 21 residing in Saxony-Anhalt.
The closing date for entries is April 15, 2023. A jury will decide on the winners, who will be awarded on June 27, 2023. The prize has been awarded annually since 1997. In addition to three main prizes, there are two sponsorship prizes, a special prize from the youth jury and five recognition prizes.
