Saxony-Anhalt: thief has to go to prison

Halle (dpa/sa) - The federal police arrested a wanted thief at the main train station in Halle. A patrol checked the 33-year-old on Friday. When comparing the personal details, the officials found that the man was wanted by the public prosecutor for investigations into a theft. On the other hand, there was an execution arrest warrant. In May 2022, the Naumburg district court had also sentenced the 33-year-old to a fine of 300 euros or a replacement prison term of ten days for theft. The wanted person had evaded this. Since he could not raise the 300 euros, he was handed over to a prison.
