Zörbig (dpa/sa) - Unknown perpetrators blew up a ticket machine in Zörbig (Anhalt-Bitterfeld district) on Tuesday night. The perpetrators stole an unknown amount of cash from a cassette compartment and caused damage of around 25,000 euros, according to the police.
A local resident was awakened by a loud bang around 2 a.m., according to police. Through his window he saw a large plume of smoke near the train station. At the scene of the crime, he then saw the blown up machine - but the perpetrators were already up and away, as it was said.
