Halle (dpa/sa) - After the killing of a woman in Halle-Neustadt in 2021, the judgment of the Halle Regional Court against three defendants is final. A court spokesman said on Tuesday in Halle that the Federal Court of Justice had dismissed their appeal as unfounded. The regional court sentenced a 28-year-old and two men aged 43 and 56 to life imprisonment on June 3, 2022.
The jury found the defendant and the 43-year-old guilty of joint, treacherous murder with base motives. The victim's 56-year-old husband was found guilty of instigating the treacherous murder. The wife had been killed in Halle with a knife.
According to the court, there was a crime behind the murder. The accused and the 56-year-old had an affair. In order to be able to live out this relationship freely, they decided to kill the woman with the help of the third accused, according to the reasoning of the district court.
