They were found in a field adjacent to the crime scene, according to the Görlitz police department on Friday. She again asks the population for help in finding the unknown perpetrators and sat. A reward of 3,000 euros has been offered for information that will help to find and convict her. Investigators believe the crimes are related.

On the night of October 22, two metal crosses were cut off with a tool or broken out of the granite base in various places, a plate was removed from another, and a fourth wooden cross with the body of Christ was unscrewed and placed upside down on the base. According to the police, the theft and damage to property is around 15,000 euros so far.

Defamation of this kind has been occurring again and again for years in Catholic Lusatia, the settlement area of ​​the Sorbian minority. Altogether there are almost a thousand crosses and other religious symbols on roads, in villages or on the edges of fields. Most are privately owned, erected and cared for by families on their property.
