Saxony: Four residents saved from burning house: high damage

Colditz (dpa/sn) - After a deflagration, four people were rescued from a burning house in Colditz (Leipzig district). Three of them were treated as outpatients for suspected smoke inhalation. An 83-year-old, on the other hand, was injured so badly that he was hospitalized in a center for burn injuries, the police said. Accordingly, there was a deflagration in a kitchen of the two-family house on Sunday morning. The ground floor caught fire. The police are now investigating the exact cause. The house is no longer habitable for the time being. The damage was initially estimated at around 100,000 euros.
