Saxony: Klitschko thanks Dresdner Neumarkt for support

Dresden (dpa/sn) - Kiev's Mayor Vitali Klitschko thanked him in a video on Dresden's Neumarkt for supporting his country in the war with Russia. "This is vital for us," he said in a message on Friday afternoon. There, numerous people commemorated the beginning of the war a year ago and sent a sign of solidarity with Ukraine. Klitschko described the Russian war of aggression as a threat to the entire democratic world. "We fight every day for independence and freedom, not just for our country and its citizens. We fight for a peaceful future for every European."
