Saxony: Pizza delivery man attacked in Leipzig

Leipzig (dpa / sn) - A pizza delivery man was attacked by three unknown men in Leipzig. As the police announced on Thursday, the 20-year-old wanted to deliver pizza on Ringstrasse in Grünau late Wednesday evening. However, he did not find anyone at the address given. When the pizza delivery man wanted to continue riding his bike, he was stopped by three men and pulled off his bike. One of the perpetrators sprayed tear gas in his face and threatened him with beatings and asked him to hand over his valuables. The 20-year-old then gave the perpetrators a cell phone and wallet. When a passer-by came to their rescue, the three men fled. The criminal police are now investigating a case of extortion.
