Saxony: suspected illegal corona certificates: doctor arrested

Dresden (dpa/sn) - An arrest warrant has been issued against a doctor from the Dresden area, who is said to have issued numerous false health certificates during the corona pandemic. The police and public prosecutor's office in Dresden announced on Tuesday that she has been accused of having issued certificates of favor commercially since the beginning of the pandemic. According to this, she is said to have exempted people from wearing masks in a blanket and unlawful manner and certified an unlimited ban on vaccination for medical reasons. We are talking about 162 cases. She is said to have received a total of 12,500 euros for this.

In that case, investigations have been ongoing for a long time. At the end of September last year, more than 200 police officers searched 84 properties in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. On Tuesday morning, the woman's living quarters were searched again and evidence such as a telephone and a four-digit sum of money were secured, a statement said. The woman herself was arrested because of the existing arrest warrant and should be brought before an investigating judge. According to the information, further investigations will take some time.
