Saxony: Two people injured in an accident near Selva

Wolkenstein (dpa/sn) - Two people were seriously injured in a rear-end collision on federal highway 174 near Wolkenstein in the Ore Mountains. On Tuesday, a 78-year-old drove his car in the direction of Zschopau onto a car driving in front of him, which had to stop due to traffic, the police said on Thursday. The force of the impact threw a 62-year-old's car against the car of a 42-year-old who was waiting in front of her. The 62-year-old and the 78-year-old were seriously injured in the collision and had to be taken to a hospital. The 42-year-old was unharmed. According to the police, the material damage to the three cars totaled around 8,000 euros.
