Föritztal (dpa/th) - A 49-year-old cyclist fell in the Föritztal (Sonneberg district) and was seriously injured. As the police announced on Sunday, the man was taken to a hospital by rescue helicopter for further treatment on Saturday afternoon before the police officers arrived at the scene of the accident. The cyclist suffered head injuries, among other injuries.
According to witnesses, the 49-year-old fell because of excessive speed. The police were informed by firefighters who were requested to provide technical support.
