Thuringia: Open-air exhibition in Eisenach with Bible panels ends

Eisenach (dpa/th) - An open-air exhibition with Bible motifs by the Stuttgart artist Willy Wiedmann can be seen for the last time in Eisenach on Sunday. The approximately 3,000 large-format prints of the so-called Pilgrim's Bible have lined the 1.7-kilometer path from the Reuter-Wagner Villa to the Elisabethplan below the Wartburg since May. They were one of the highlights of the year that is now drawing to a close to commemorate Martin Luther's translation of the Bible 500 years ago at the Wartburg. In addition, an exhibition on the Wiedmann Bible was shown in the city palace.

The picture boards and banners should find new owners after they have been dismantled. The city had announced that this was also in the interests of sustainability. Potential buyers of the motifs have until Tuesday (November 1) to contact the city.
